David Moffoot steps down as Chair of Life to Romania

During the Summer the Trustees waved David off as he departed to a new adventure as a teacher in India. David served faithfully as Chair of Trustees for 5 years from 2004. David’s personal drive, organisational and pastoral skills to guide the Trust through a really exciting period.

The first team flies out on 25th July headed by David Moffoot from Bolton, the outgoing Chair of Trustees. He will be supported by Volunteers from Brierley Hill, Ealing and Wimbledon.

The second team will fly to Romania on 1st August led by Andrew Saxton, along with volunteers from Guildford and Chesham.

The Camps will be held in the Carpathian Mountains in the area of Targu Jui in the West of Romania. The camps have been organised by our field worker Calin Vadavu and his team of local Romanian Volunteers. 25 children aged 10-11 years attending each camp are drawn from the 11 weekly childrens groups that Calin and his team have established in the Petrosani area.

The Spiritual Programme will be based on Colossians 2:6-7 focusing on Jesus and us and The Holy Spirit, His role in creation, Christmas, Easter and in our lives.
